Bases and regulation

2. The championship will be divided in two successive steps:
gualification groups will first identify the best 16 players, who will then compete in the second and final step.
3. In order to confirm your participation it will be necessary to send a registration e-mail to ajedrezmail@ajedrezmail.org with the subject: "I want to participate to the chanmpionship"
4. The number of participants in each qualifying group will depend on the
total number. A maximum number of 8 groups, named A, B, C, etc., will be defined as a function of the number of players.
5. The best two players of each group will qualify for the finals of
the championship.
6. The finals will be based on the American system
(all against all) and using a double round (each player plays each opponent with both black and white). Each victory will grant (1) one point, the draw 0,5 points and the defeat zero (0) points.
7. In case of a tie between two players or more, the final ranking will use the Sonnenborg-Berger system, which consists in calculating, for each player, the sum of the points obtained by all their defeated rivals (including half a point for draws). If the tie persists, the ranking will be based on the ranking before the beginning of the championship.
8. All the games will be played simultaneously.
9. During the course of the championship, the participant players will not be
allowed to have a period of vacations.
10. The formation of the qualification groups will be decided according to the
Ranking of the players in the Continuous Championship. The eight first players will be assigned to different groups, then the eight next players, and so on until all players are assigned to a group.
11. Each player will have up to eight days to play their moves. Beyond those 8 days, the game will be lost.
12. All the games played during both phases of the championship will also contribute to the continuous championship of Mail Chess. In this case, the victory gives (1) a point, defeat (-1), tie zero (0).
